Global Education Centre (GEC) will host Indian philanthropist Anand Kumar at a seminar on the Al Wakra campus on Saturday, January 18 at 3:30 pm.
The programme will be inaugurated by Ambassador of India to Qatar HE P Kumaran in the presence of Anand Kumar, philanthropist, eminent mathematician and founder of the world renowned ‘Super 30 Programme’ in which students with good academic performance hailing from economically underprivileged backgrounds are being trained every year for the IIT-JEE entrance examinations with exceptional results.
The philanthropist has agreed to admit five students from Qatar to his distinguished coaching centre after gauging their compatibility in an entrance examination to be conducted at GEC in his presence. While the training for the selected brilliant students would be offered free of cost, other associated expenses would be born by the GEC management as part of its corporate social responsibility.
During the occasion, illustrious philanthropists and leaders of Indian community will be felicitated for their outstanding contribution and selfless commitments towards enriching numerous young lives of Indian community.
