Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Governor Sheikh Abdulla bin Saoud al Thani on Sunday inaugurated the new headquarters of Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) in Lusail City.
Named al khaliji Tower, the new headquarters will include a full-service branch, ATMs and the latest innovations in banking.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new headquarters, al khaliji Chairman and Managing Director HE Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal bin Thani al Thani said, “Shifting to new headquarters will accelerate our strategy to build on our growth and deliver better services to our customers in Qatar and abroad. The new al khaliji Tower not only speaks to al khaliji’s commitment to Qatar and its future, but it also represents a vote of confidence in the city of tomorrow that will be Lusail City”.
The opening of al khaliji Tower coincided with the Qatar National Day celebrations in the country.
“In celebration of Qatar National Day, we are proud to be part of the country’s economic and real estate transformation inline with Qatar National Vision 2030. We are assured that this move will cater to both, our clientele evolving needs and shareholders valued expectations,” the bank’s chairman said.
The new al khaliji Tower adds to the evolving skyline of Lusail City and is located at 69 Al Add Al Sharqi Street. The building’s unique silhouette is distinguished by multiple setbacks, a slanted crown, and a prominent base standing on stilettoes.
al khaliji Group CEO Fahad al Khalifa said, “The al khaliji Tower puts our bank in the heart of the vibrant Lusail City and is the right backdrop for the bold, transformational financial institution we are creating in line with our strategy of growth and innovation. We looked for a location that would attract and inspire our teams as they come together to create industry-leading experiences.”
Whether customers are checking in with their wealth management advisor or getting assistance for their business, the al khaliji Tower will be an ideal platform to interact with staff from across the bank’s retail and commercial business lines.
Beckoning the start of a new journey of growth for Qatar’s next generation bank, the new headquarters of al khaliji will add value to its offering of a full range of conventional banking products and services to premium, business, corporate and international clients in Qatar and around the world.
QCB Deputy Governor Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad al Thani, Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) Chairman Sheikh Faiaal bin Qassim al Thani, Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al Thani and other Qatari dignitaries were present on the occasion.
A number of high-ranking officials from Qatar’s banking sector were also present on the occasion.
Opening of al khaliji headquarters at the Lusail City holds a lot of significance as the city is one of the largest and the most elaborate development being undertaken around the world with a substantial area of over 38 square kilometers where more than 450,000 people will live, work, raise their families and enjoy their lives.
