Qatar has been able to direct its resources to advance education and information technology as well as openness to others, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al Attiyah has said.
“The global and regional security situation and the nature of wars and conflicts have changed and consequently the ways states managed in the changing regions have also changed,” Attiyah said during a joint session with Turkish Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar, at Doha Forum 2019.
Regarding the Gulf crisis, and whether there is an opportunity to solve it, Attiyah said Qatar was subjected to all forms of wars during 2017, and despite that, its position is clear from day one, that adopting dialogue and negotiations is the fastest way to resolve differences; preserve sovereignty and stop interference in internal affairs.
