Khalid Mohammed al Emadi stood out with a faultless and impressive routine to win the Big Tour of the fourth leg of Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour 2019-20 at Al Shaqab on Saturday.
The 25-year-old was the only one to have a faultless winning round in the Competition with winning round, Art. 276.2.1 | 130/145cm class clocking 84.98secs on his 11-year-old grey gelding Colibri 19.
He thus consolidated his position at the top in Big Tour. He was already leading with 72 points at the start of the 4th round.
Mohammed Sultan al Suwaidi, who has just one point, separating him from Khalid, had to settle for the runners-up spot as he picked some faults in trying to be quick on his mount Happy Feet, a bay mare.
Giving a good account of himself was Mohammed Khalifa al Baker as he rode his dark brown mare Verona to the third place in 58.01secs.
Earlier, Khalifa Abdulla al Khaldi on Dusty claimed the top honours in the Mini Derby of Open Class FEI Art. 277 | 115/125cm (Without Jump-Off) event.
Hamad Towaim al Marri, riding BCO Come On Boy Z, finished second, and Hamad Nasser al Qadi astride Jumbo being third.
The Dressage Level 1 (Elementary) competition saw Jassim Mohammed al Kuwari excel with his horse Lauries to collect a score of 69.167 points for top podium finish.
Micky Nijboer with Baltic Royal was second.
Dressage Level 2 (Prelim) Test B competitionw as won by Kelly Guillambert, who impressed with her horse Levante RH II.
The 5th Longines Hathab Tour will be held in New Year of 2020 from January 2 at
Al Shaqab equestrian centre.
The 12-leg National equestrian series Hathab will eventually conclude in April. The best seven results are taken into account for overall results.
