The agreement, which was signed on the sideline of Doha Forum, is aimed at introducing for the first time a cutting-edge fleet of self-driving level 4 electric shuttles during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Qatar will thus be the venue for the world’s first emission-free, electric and autonomous public transport system.The agreement was signed by QIA CEO Mansoor al Mahmoud and Volkswagen Chairman Herbert Diess.
