The Indian Women’s Association (IWA) Qatar organised its annual mega beauty pageant ‘Mrs IWA 2019’ at hotel Grand Hyatt recently.
Roshan Sukheja won the ‘Mrs IWA 2019’ title at the event which saw the participation of 25 Indian women. Abhilasha Singh Panwar and Dr Tulika Mehta Agarwal were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.
The rich variety of Indian textiles was depicted in the saree round of the event, while the contestants also showcased the richness of Arabic gowns as a tribute to the Qatar India Year of Culture.
The shimmering ‘Evening Gowns’ section and a brilliant question & answer session were the added attractions of the pageant. The winners were decided by the judges on the basis of their performance in all the rounds.
Special performance award was given by Classical dancer Rahul Gupta, while Anupama’s humorous speech on weight loss delighted the audience. Shweta Bharadwaj was complimented for her tireless anchoring at the event.
IWA Patron Ritu Kumaran, Chairman of NIA Harish Kanjani, IWA Advisor Sophia Bukhari and Dean of Institute di moda Burgo Qatar Meenu Prasad graced the occasion as judges.
IWA thanked the sponsors, members and guests for making the event a grand success.
