Qetaifan Projects, a subsidiary of Katara Hospitality, has launched the awarding of residential and commercial plot reservations (villas and towers) of the first phase to investors.
This was announced at a gala dinner held at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The event was attended by Sheikh Nawaf bin Jassim bin Jabor al Thani, Chairman of Katara Hospitality; Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman al Thani, Vice Chairman of Katara Hospitality and Managing Director of Qetaifan Projects; Mohamed ElGarhy, Chief Technical Officer; Hesham Sharaf , Chief Operating Officer; and Jean Antonios, Chief Legal Officer.
The event was also attended by Nasser al Ansari, CEO of Just Real Estate, VIP guests and investors interested in owning properties at Qetaifan Island North.
Due to the high demand for bookings at the company’s booth during Cityscape 2019, bookings were awarded for ownership by bidding on the down payment in cooperation with Just Real Estate, the exclusive real estate broker.
The gala dinner witnessed a great attendance from the plot owners and investors, who expressed their delight with this ambitious national project which aims to serve all sectors of the country, most importantly the tourism and hospitality sectors as the first entertainment island in Qatar.
Qetaifan Island North is designed to be Qatar’s future iconic destination with its unique elements and attractions that the whole family can enjoy; starting with the waterpark inspired by the Qatari culture and the production of oil & gas, the luxurious hotel operated by Rixos for the first time in Qatar, in addition to diversified waterfronts, a linear park along the island surrounded by retail outlets and services, in addition to distinct waterfront neighborhoods, a mosque, school, and world-class spas.
The Beach Club is the first project planned for completion by the first quarter of 2020, featuring a clubhouse that offers an assemblage of activities to be enjoyed by the whole family.
Sheikh Nawaf said, “Qetaifan Projects represents a milestone in our commitment to invest in developing the tourism industry and strengthening the local hospitality sector in Qatar. Since Katara Hospitality’s vision is to change the hospitality world through investment and innovation, which will leave a prominent legacy for future generations in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. “
He added, “This project reinforces our position in the local hospitality sector as a major player shaping the tourism industry, which would create a safe and sustainable investment that bears the name of the State of Qatar.”
