Madrid: Just over a month after the latest inconclusive parliamentary election in Spain, King Felipe VI began two days of consultations on Tuesday on the formation of a new government.
The monarch will hold talks with the heads of 18 parliamentary parties on Tuesday and Wednesday in Zarzuela Palace to the north-west of Madrid. The talks are scheduled to conclude with acting prime minister Pedro Sanchez, whose party received the largest share of votes but clearly missed out on an absolute majority.(DPA)
