THE Qatari-European Friendship Association was set up in the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium. The first meeting was held at the European Parliament, chaired by the Ambassador of Qatar to Belgium and Head of Mission of the State of Qatar to the European Union HE Abdulrahman bin Mohammed al Khulaifi, and the elected President of the Association and MP of the European Parliament for the People’s Party Christian Silvio Bossoa.
Bossoa delivered a speech at the beginning of the meeting expressing his delight at the formation of this association. He said it would work to strengthen relations between Qatar and the European Parliament in economic, political and cultural fields.
For his part, Khulaifi, welcomed the deputies who joined the association, explaining that it will work to develop relations between Qatar and the European Parliament.
