China’s Baolu Wen beat countryman Hao Wang in a shoot-off to win the men’s double trap gold as curtains came down on the 14th Asian Shooting Championships at the Lusail Shooting Complex on Wednesday.
After both shooters were tied at 140 in the final, Wen edged out Wang 7-6 in the tie-breaker. Oman’s Rashid Hussein al-Shuhoumi won bronze.
China also wrapped up the team gold, while Kuwait took silver and Oman bronze.
A total of 38 quota places for next year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo were distributed during the Asian Shooting Championships.
The most went to India with six, while Japan and Thailand took five ahead of Iran with four. The other 18 were split between a further 11 countries including Qatar (1).
