The fourth meeting of the joint committee of experts and representatives of the ministries of justice and interior of the Arab states on Tuesday began at the headquarters of the Arab League to discuss the criminalisation of ransom payment.
Qatar is represented in the two-day meeting by Lieutenant-Colonel Mohammed Khalid al Hajri from the Ministry of Interior.
The meeting will discuss the report of the Legal Affairs Sector in the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice, the measures taken to implement the recommendations of the third meeting of the Committee and the relevant resolutions of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice.
The meeting will also discuss the observations of the Arab countries and the discussions of the participating experts on the issue of criminalising ransom payment.
