The latest venture between Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel & Villas and Doha Pearl Academy, Qatar’s first Qatar Football Association-approved private football academy, is set to provide weekly football camps for local children.
The first camp will be held on October 25 at the Grand Hyatt beach garden and will run every Friday thereafter.
The sessions start at 1pm and finish at 3pm with a 30-minute break in between. Each session is priced at QR200 per child and includes light refreshment throughout the session.
Head of Academy, Ciaran Kelly said, “We’re delighted to expand our already fantastic relationship with the Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel & Villas by offering special football camps, holding every Friday from October 25. Our experienced Doha Pearl Academy coaches will be on site to deliver the sessions and can tailor the sessions to children of all abilities. We cater for players from under three to under 18. Our holistic approach now offers a professional pathway with our first team Lusail S.C. playing in QSL2.”
Jamaludine Dolley, recreation manager at Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel & Villas, said: “The weekly football camps are a great addition to the recreational facilities at the hotel. As the weather becomes cooler children need more opportunities to get outside and stay active. What makes this even more fantastic is that the sessions coincide with Friday brunch so parents can leave their children, enjoy brunch and have peace of mind that they are being cared for, learning and having fun. The sessions are open to the public, in-house guests and those who may only be visiting Qatar. It really is a great opportunity.”
