A total of 200 badminton enthusiasts competed in their respective categories during a tournament held to mark the third anniversary of Good Shots Qatar (GSQ), at Al Arabi Sports Club recently.
The event titled ‘Battle of the Rackets 3’ (BoTR3) was fun-filled aside from featuring some nail-biting matches among the best badminton players in the Filipino community.
GSQ is one of the most recognised Filipino-organised badminton groups in the country. The event was organised by its dynamic committee led by GSQ President JB Vierneza “We have been preparing for this event several months ago. We wanted to give the best for all the participants”, said Vierneza.
GSQ is a community and family-oriented group which aim to provide a platform for all overseas Filipino workers who desire to become physically and mentally fit and have fun at the same time. Vierneza added, “GSQ, we are like a family. The court is our second home. We all learn, sweat and enjoy”.
Truly, this year’s GSQ Anniversary was a huge success. Vierneza gives the credit to the hard working and dedicated members of the committee. The whole GSQ team has extended its deep gratitude and appreciation to everyone who participated, volunteered and offered generously their time and effort.
The event was sponsored by Carrefour, National Cruise, Meteor Garden, Mcdonalds, Grand Palace Hotel, Anytime Fitness, Safa Water, Koi Milk Tea, and Badminzone along with some generous individual sponsors.
