AS part of its ongoing commitment to encourage lifelong learning and personal development in the wider community, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) has opened registration for its three community courses.
The courses, offered every year to advocate personal and professional enrichment.
Classes begin with Professional Skills (for women and Arabic speakers only), which runs from October 6 to 8. Participants will gain valuable insights into the power and effect of words through sessions covering effective communication, presentation delivery and enhanced listening. Better communication is also at the heart of Life Skills for Success, to be held from October 13 to15.
This course provides participants with the skills they need to become effective team members in the workplace and achieve their goals through communication.
Running from October 21 to 28, Master the Art of Public Speaking will give participants the confidence to speak to larger audiences. The course offers practical insights on how to develop core messages and ideas, as well as tips on using body language as a tool to communicate clearly and effectively.
Ms Maryam al Mannai, vice president of Student Affairs at HBKU, said: “Our community classes aim to empower individuals to thrive in their personal and professional lives, and our fall programme of courses is no exception. Key to our success is the involvement of our subject matter experts as they add to an all-encompassing learning experience. We are pleased to offer these opportunities to interested learners and hope to be able to provide them with valuable experiences that support their chosen career paths.”
