Aldana al Mubarak and archer completed a fine double each in the QSAA Shooting and Archery Cup, which came to an end at the Losail Ranges on Saturday.
Mubarak defeated Nasra Mohammed in the 25m pistol. Suad al Khater was third.
Amal Mohammed emerged the winner in the 10m running target with Mohammed Abu Taima and Mohammed Haq finishing second and third, respectively. Taima however managed to beat Amal in the 10m running target mixed and won the gold medal. Haq secured the bronze again.
Ahmed al Shammari bagged the first spot in the 25m rapid fire event. Hassan Mushid claimed the silver medal, while Mohammed al Tamimi picked the bronze medal.
Four events were contested in archery. Shraf Khan won the Olympic 50m Recurve and 50m recurve titles. Farhan al Saadi was the silver medallist in the Olympic 50m and Ahmed al Abadi bagged the bronze medal.
In the 50m event, Khan was followed against Saadi in the second spot and Abadi in the third.
The Olympic 70m event was won by Ali al Yazidi. The silver medal went to Abdul Aziz al Abadi, while the bronze medal was taken by Saadi. But in the 70m knockout, Abdul Aziz emerged the winner, while Ali al Yazidi was second and Ahmed al Abadi clinched the bronze medal.
The Qatar Shooting and Archery Association hosted the event to prepare the national pistol and rifle team for the Asian championships, which are scheduled in Qatar in October. The shotgun event will take place from October 2.
