‘Jordan keen to boost relations with Qatar’

Speaker of Jordan’s House of Representatives Engineer Atef Tarawneh affirmed his country’s keenness to promote bilateral relations with Qatar to serve the interests of the two countries.
Tarawneh made the remarks during a meeting with Ambassador of Qatar to Jordan HE Sheikh Saud bin Nasser al Thani in Amman on Tuesday.
The speaker of Jordan’s House of Representatives stressed the importance of the joint parliamentary coordination between the two countries, especially on the Palestinian issue and defending its cause in various international parliamentary forums.
For his part, the ambassador affirmed that Qatar seeks to strengthen the existing relations with Jordan in various fields.
He said Qatar is working closely with Jordan to strengthen the relations between the two countries and activate the joint coordination to face the challenges in the region, adding that both countries seek to jointly support projects and programmes that contribute to the overall economic development of the two countries.
In a related context, President of the Jordanian Senate Faisal al Fayez Jordan’s readiness to develop the relations with Qatar in various bilateral fields, especially political, economic, investment and parliamentary, and enhancing coordination and consultation in the service of common interests.
Speaking during a meeting with Qatar’s ambassador to Jordan, Fayez said the current circumstances in the Arab nation require strengthening the cooperation and unity in order to face the challenges, stressing that his country is keen on promoting Arab reconciliation.
