Qatar Visa Center to open in the Philippines’ capital by month-end Sep 18, 2019 0 1514 12345 Tribune News NetworkDohaQatar will open its visa facilitation centre, ‘Qatar Visa Center (QVC)’, in the Philippines’ capital Manila by the end of this month.Ahead of the centre’s opening, the Department of Support Services for Recruitment at the Ministry of Interior (MoI), in cooperation with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA), organised a seminar for the Filipino community in Qatar on the stages of recruitment procedures through the QVC.The seminar was part of the efforts of the State of Qatar to facilitate and simplify the procedures for the recruitment of expatriates to the country. It was attended by Major Abdullah Khalifa al Mohannadi, director of the Department of Support Services for recruitment, and Mohammed Ali al Mir, representative of the MADLSA at the QVC.During the seminar, Major Mohannadi reviewed the stages of recruitment procedures through the centre and explained the benefits guaranteed by the QVC to both the recruiter and the expatriate.Mir said the QVC in Manila will be a new addition to the Qatar Visa Center project which seeks to open 20 service centres in eight countries including Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the Philippines, Indonesia and Tunisia.These centres will help speed up the expatriates’ residence procedures and the follow-up by the authorities concerned in Qatar.They will provide a wide range of services such as fingerprinting, biometric data recording, medical examinations and signing of employment contract before their departure to Qatar.It will ensure protection of the rights of both expatriates and employers by documenting the work contract before the expatriates travel to Qatar.This facility will avoid cases of return of the employee in case of ineligibility and enable them to start work immediately upon arrival in Qatar.
