THE students of Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ), formerly known as the PEC, Doha, have passed the Higher School Secondary Certificate-II (HSSC-II) examinations (session 2018-19) with flying colours.
The examination is conducted by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) of Pakistan.
The school has secured a position in the top 10. The three top scorers are Heba Tu Rehman Asif Butt (997/1,100), Amna Nasir (994/1,100) and Nawal Nawaz (987/1,100).
Collectively, this year, the school has got 19 ‘A1’ and 21 ‘A’ grades. Altogether 146 students appeared for the exam from the school of which 139 have passed.
The other ‘A1’ and ‘A’ grade holders are Hoorya Suleman (978), Syeda Aliza (977), Fatimah (969), Hamza Murtaza (962), Eman Javed (961), Ilyas Haider (959), Umrah Shahid (956), Aisha Mohammad Israr Khan (936), Laiba Maryam (929), Abdullah Rasheed (928), Mahnoor Ejaz (928), Numra Bokhari (920), Areeba Arshad (914), Eman Hanif Abbasi (911), Muhammad Qazi (892), Samreen Akram (883), Muhammad Abdullah (873), Mohammad Subhaan (862), Najla (860), Abdullah Siddique (859), Muhammad Ashir Rauf (859), Maryam Rizwan (856), Saamia Shahzad (845), Amna Asif (841), Aliha Tanveer (834), Muhammad Kamran (828), Amna Mohammad Salim (828), Muhammad Owais (823), Malaika (818), Marwa (811), Mirza Wajih Ul Hassan (807), Sadaf (797),
Maha Mohammad Nasir (790), Rimsha Shiraz (790), Kholoud (780), Kamran Shah (777) and Hussam (770).
PISQ Principal Nargis Raza Otho expressed her gratitude to the Almighty and said that success,
especially in the academic field, is achieved through team work. PISQ believes that excellence in academics is the outcome of constant efforts and hard work, she noted.
The PISQ principal congratulated the students and their parents and teachers and urged them to play fruitful roles in shaping the future of the students.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar HE Hassan Raza applauded the students on their tremendous success. He said education is the only key with which they can unlock their fortunes.
The ambassador also praised the teachers and the school management and congratulated the parents as well.
