Colourful costumes, amazing acrobatic stunts and lively music entertained children and the young at heart during different shows hosted by various malls during the Eid Al Adha holidays.
Many of the prime malls in the city featured Disney and cartoon characters as well as famous superheroes in their respective shows which started from the first day of Eid Al Adha. The diverse programmes have been a big hit for the residents who opted to spend the holidays indoors.
The “The Little Mermaid” show mesmerised the crowd at Lagoona Mall. Elaborate stage set up to recreate underwater scenes and the costumes made the programme even more engaging for the children in the audience.
“I love Little Mermaid. It’s an amazing show. I am happy to see the characters on stage. I love the costumes even more,” said Aliyah, 7, one of the children in the crowd.
Santi, who accompanied his daughter to the event, was all praise for initiative of various malls in hosting indoor activities during the holidays.
“Not all of the residents are fans of going to the beach or other outdoor activities. We truly appreciate having this kind of family bonding in a very comfortable set-up,” he added.
At Mirqab Mall, a carnival themed show is being staged since the first day of Eid. It will continue until the 4th day of the holidays.
The programme features Hula Show, Fire Show and Coco the Clown. All the events are free of charge and are staged at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm.
At Hyatt Plaza, Cinderella Story show is a favourite of many. It will be running until the 5th day of Eid Al Adha and will be staged at 5pm, 8pm and 10pm.
At Mall of Qatar, colourful characters greet mall goers, especially the children. The mall featured Nickledeon rocks and meet and greet with Avengers characters.
