He said the role of department complement the role of the agriculture sector in achieving food security in the State and finding solutions to the technical problems facing palm growing and date production. The Dates Festival is being organised at Souq Waqif for the fourth year in a row. The fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Municipality and Environment and the administration of Souq Waqif has led to the success and continuity of the festival. The distinguished location of the festival gives the event a social symbolism and cultural dimension.
