DOHA Festival City (DFC), Qatar’s unique, world-class retail, entertainment and dining destination, has collaborated with the Mawater Centre to bring classic and modified cars for guests to view, as part of its host of summer activities.
The event began on July 22, and will last until August 11. Visitors can discover award-winning motor vehicles during mall hours at the spectacular auto show.
The Mawater Centre, which was established by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, specialises in modern classic and modified classic car enthusiasts.
Displayed in different areas of the mall, the exhibition will feature a total of 12 cars, six at the start of the show and then replaced by another six in the second half of the event.
Cars on show include the orange Skyline GTR Hakosuka with 4 doors, the Tiffany car, a Skyline GTR 1973 Coupe offering an engine is RP 25 with the same characters as the car in the Fast and Furious movies, which has won national and international awards.
The Porsche 911 Turbo (1992 model) featured in the Bad Boys movie starring Will Smith will also be on display. The Acura NSX Type R model 1992 will be on show while the Skyline GTR V1999 with rise rings top security RP 26 twin Turbo will also be on display.
DFC’s General Manager Robert Hall said, “We are incredibly excited to have collaborated with the Mawater Centre and their classic and modified cars for our guests to view. The exhibit is a perfect opportunity for families and automobile lovers to visit and embrace the craftsmanship involved in assembling these luxury cars as we continue to look for new and exciting ways to support young Qatari enthusiasts and entertain our visitors.”
