Barshim bounces back to big action in London

Qatar’s Mutaz Essa Barshim exults after clearing 2.27m in the high jump event of the IAAF Diamond League London Anniversary Games at the London Stadium on Sunday. Barshim finished second to Syria’s Majd Eddin Ghazal, who jumped 2.30. Barshim, who made a winning return last month at the Sopot Grand Prix in Poland following his recovery from a leg injury after 13 months, is preparing for the IAAF World Championships to be held in Doha in Sept.
