Islamabad: A Pakistani soldier has been killed in fresh exchanges of gunfire with Indian border forces in the disputed Kashmir region, according to the army in Islamabad. Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistani military’s media wing, charged late Saturday that the Indian had army resorted to an “unprovoked ceasefire violation using rockets and mortars” in four different areas along the Line of Control (LoC), targeting “the civilian population and army posts.” The LoC, a de facto border, divides the disputed Kashmir region into two parts, one administered by India and the other by Pakistan.
