Al Shahaniya scored a 2-0 win over a second-division side in a friendly match on Saturday at the Turkish team’s camp.
The two goals were scored by Abdurrahman Naji and Iranian Ramin Rezaian for Al Shahaniya
Spanish coach Mauricio was keen to involve the largest number of players in the friendly in order to get the squad match ready.
Al Shahaniya will play the second friendly on July 27 against a Turkish league team
“The experience was good, especially since it came five days after the start of the Turkish camp,” said coach Nabil Anwar, adding that the club currently has three professionals.
Anwar also praised the camp’s atmosphere and training and said things were “going well especially since there were no injuries among the players”.
Qatar Sports Club begin training camp in Spain
Qatar SC team trained on Saturday at their Spanish camp in preparation for the new football season under Spanish coach Carlos Alos with the participation of all players including three professionals
The club left Qatar on Friday to continue preparations for the new season, which began earlier this month in Doha.
The squad participated in fitness drills in the gym to focus on improving overall physical strength.
Qatar SC will play four friendly matches within the camp and will start next Thursday. The second game will be against the San Sebastian team on July 31. The third friendly will be on August 3 followed by another match on August 6.
The new QNB Stars League starts on August 22.
