Nearly 500 workers from different expatriate communities benefited from a free medical camp organised by Indian expatriate forum Sanskriti in association with Aster and Wellcare Group in Doha, recently.
Indian Ambassador to Qatar HE P Kumaran inaugurated the camp that featured routine medical check-ups. Those requiring long-time treatment were referred to the Hamad Medical Corporation.
President of Indian Community Benevolent Forum PN Baburajan, Director of NORKA Roots CV Rappai, Director of Wellcare Group KP Ashraff and President of Aster Volunteers Nikhil Joseph were among those who attended the medical camp.
Office bearers of Sanskriti said the forum organised the event as a part of its commitment to welfare of its members.
A special check-up of kidney ailments was one of the key features of the camp. Wellcare Group provided free pharmaceutical support and medicines. The forum gave away free food kits and snacks to workers who attended the camp.
Sanskriti officials who attended the camp included General Secretary Vijayakumar, Omanakkuttan and Ravi Maniyoor.
