The Pakistan Association Qatar (PAQ) organised a function at THE Golden Tulip Hotel recently, to bid farewell to the outgoing Defence Attaché Commodore Irfan Taj.
Community Welfare Attache Junaid Amir Sial and representatives of Pakistan defense institutes were also present on the occasion.
The ceremony was compered by PAQ Chairman Syed Faheem and supported by PAQ Vice Chairman Shahid Rafiq. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by PAQ President Usama Muhammad. Representatives of Pakistani organiations Furqan Paracha, Javed Iqbal, Ch Ajmal and Tajammul Aftab Cheema praised Commodore Taj’s contributions towards the betterment of the community.
Meanwhile, the Business Entrepreneurs Pakistan and Qatar (BEPAQ) forum was established on the occasion. The forum will provide business opportunities and explore new business ideas for Pakistani expatriates and investors.
Commodore Taj thanked the community members for honouring him and said he was returning with cherished memories of his stay in Qatar. He appreciated the positive role played by his compatriots in building the image of Pakistan.
Community members presented mementos and gifts to Commodore Taj on the occasion.
