Amir meets IOC President

The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani met International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Dr Thomas Bach on the sidelines of the meetings of the 134th session of the IOC General Assembly in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Monday. At the outset of the meeting, the Amir congratulated Dr Bach on the inauguration of the new headquarter of the IOC — The Olympic House — which coincides with the 125th anniversary of the founding of the committee. The meeting also reviewed areas of cooperation between Qatar and IOC and the ways of promoting them. Qatar Olympic Committee President HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al Thani attended the meeting. (QNA)
