The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will commence the activities of its summer camps on July 14.
The camps will run until August 8.
Head of Programmes and Activities at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Fatima Yousef al Obaidli said the activities will be launched at 14 summer centres across Qatar -- seven for boys and seven for girls.
Obaidli stressed the ministry’s keenness to support the students and provide them with fun and useful activities during the summer vacation so they can invest their free time in activities that will benefit them positively.
The activities, she said, include an educational programme of entertainment that follows the system of education.
Obaidli said the programme is designed by educators and experts in the field of technology, science, arts and sports and aims to develop the skills and abilities of the students and encourage them to develop a passion for research and exploration.
It also includes various education, entertainment, sports and technology activities, in addition to field trips, she added.
She noted that the summer centres target Qatari and non-Qatari students in public schools, as well as Qatari students in private schools from six to 18 years old.
