More than 50 families participated in a get-together organised by the Pakistan Professional Community in Qatar (PPCiQ), on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr at Salt n Pepper restaurant.
The event commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Abdul Salam Jafar. Defense Attaché at the Pakistan Embassy Commodore Irfan Taj and the Community Welfare Attaché Hafiz Junaid Amir Sial attended the event as special guests.
Children of different age groups participated in the fun-filled games arranged by Rana Anwar Ali. Arshad Hussain Hashmi welcomed the guests.
Event organising committee members Javed Iqbal, Anwar Shah, Qaisar Anwar, Fahad Ismail, Sarfraz, Atiq-ur-Rehman, Anees Khan, Kifayat Shah and Suhail presented mementos to the special guests.
“I am very happy to attend the event and excited to see smiles on faces of children,” said Dr Ejaz.
Salman Ismail appreciated the initiative of PPCiQ to organise the event. Well-known artist Mala Waseem arranged gifts for the participating children and thanked the families for attending the event.
Community members regaled the guests with Pashto and Urdu songs.
