7,758 establishments inspected in a month

The joint inspection campaign (Al Sarayat 4) carried out by a number of authorities has been a huge success with completion of inspections at 7,758 establishments within a month.
The campaign also succeeded in educating individuals and companies operating in the country about the law of the land.
The campaign was carried out by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) in cooperation with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs (MADLSA), the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment and the Ministry of Public Health.
Dr Saleh Ali al Marri, Assistant Secretary General for Medical Affairs at the Ministry of Public Health, said concerted efforts by the competent authorities have led to the huge success of the campaign. The inspection teams included inspectors from ministries and competent authorities.
Marri said a mechanism set up for joint cooperation
between ministries and participating parties in reporting violations had led to the success of the campaign.
He said it was important to carry out awareness campaigns to clarify the laws and regulations.
Brigadier Abdullah Jaber al Labda, Director of Research and Follow-up Department, affirmed the success of the joint campaign in achieving its objectives of raising awareness among individuals and institutions.
He said preserving the security and stability of Qatar is the most important pillar of the development process.
In a speech, he said the inspection campaign was a huge success thanks to the efficiency of the parties involved and their ability to absorb instructions very quickly and implement them to achieve the objectives.
Fahad Zafer al Dosari, Director of Labour Relations Department at MADLSA, praised the efficiency of the participants in the campaign, and the
positive outcome of the training workshop which preceded the campaign.
Captain Omar Khalifa al Rumaihi, head of search and investigation department, said the drive lasted for a month during which the team visited industrial facilities to inspect the products. He said more than 230 individuals from different bodies took part in the campaign.
