DPS-Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS) recently organised the ‘Scholar Badge & All Rounders’ award ceremony to felicitate its meritorious students from grades VIII, IX and XI, who proved their mettle in academics and extra-curricular activities in the 2018-19 academic year.
A total of 182 students were awarded with trophies, badges, certificates, blue blazers, blue ties, gold medal and special award for their outstanding academic and all-round performance.
The event was attended by Vice-President of DPS-MIS Yasir Nainar as chief guest and Prof Khalid al Jufairi as special guest.
Principal Asna Nafees accorded a warm welcome to the guests. She said, “It’s indeed a consequential moment for those who have toiled tirelessly to reach to perfection in their pursuits.”
She lauded the DPS-MIS students for their commendable performance in a host of activities.
She also appreciated the visionary patrons and management of DPS-MIS and urged the parents to spend quality time with their wards, guide them to make judicious use of technology and reinforce the core values in them to develop them into future ambassadors of goodwill and peace.
Chief guest Nainar lauded the young achievers for their enthusiasm, commitment and hard work. He said the unique and time-tested DPS-MIS scholar badge ceremony is a motivating factor for the students to perform better year after year.
Highlighting the importance of peer learning, he advised the students to share their success with others to add value to their lives.
The award ceremony was held amidst joy, cheer and applause.
