THE Shura Council discussed a draft law amending some provisions of Decree Law No. 14 of 1993 concerning passports at its weekly meeting held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Speaker HE Mohammed bin Abdullah al Sulaiti on Monday.
The council also decided to refer the aforementioned draft law to the Internal and External Affairs Committee to study it and submit a report thereon to the council.
The council was also briefed on a report on its delegation’s participation in the 8th Session of the World e-Parliament Conference 2018, held recently in Geneva.
Meanwhile, the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the Shura Council held a meeting chaired by its Rapporteur HE Ali bin Abdullatif al Misnad al Muhannadi.
During the meeting, the committee examined a draft law on the organisation of the auditing profession and decided to complete its study at its next meeting.
Furthermore, the Cultural Affairs and Information Committee of the Shura Council held a meeting chaired by its Rapporteur HE Mohammed bin Ali bin Sultan al Maadid.
During the meeting, the committee studied recommendations for general debate on education.
The committee decided to complete its study at its next meeting.
