The Qatari Armed Forces and the Jordanian Armed Forces on Wednesday signed a number of joint cooperation agreements.
The agreements were signed as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohammed al Attiyah met with Chairman of
the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Mahmoud Freihat on
Wednesday.
The agreements aim to increase cooperation between the two armed forces and raise their levels in administrative, technical, and organisational areas.
The agreements were signed by president of the international military cooperation authority Brigadier General Abdulaziz Saleh al Sulaiti and Chief Executive of Barrer Holding Youssef Abdulrahman al Khulaifi on the Qatari side. From the Jordanian side, it was signed by director of planning and organisation Brigadier General Abdullah Hassan al Hunaiti, and director of supply in the general command of the armed forces Brigadier General Mohammed Ali al Manaseer.
An official reception ceremony was held for Attiyah, which was attended by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Inspector of the Armed Forces Major General Ghazi Awda al Muqaibel, Commander of Royal Jordanian Air Force Major General (Pilot) Yousef Ahmed al Hunaiti, Director General of Royal Medical Services Saad Jaber, and a number of ranking officers at the Jordanian Armed Forces.
The meeting was attended on the Qatari side by head of the authority of colleges and institutes Major General Hamad bin Ahmed al Nuaimi, Commander of the Joint Special Forces Major General Hamad bin Abdullah al Fetais al Marri, Military Attache of Qatar to Jordan Brigadier General Shafi Mohammed al Shafi, and a number of ranking officers of the QAF.
