The Embassy of Pakistan in Doha organised a function to celebrate Easter with Pakistani Christian community in Qatar on Saturday.
On the occasion, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Qatar HE Syed Ahsan Raza Shah greeted the Christians all over the world, particularly the Christian community in Pakistan.
He said Easter is celebrated each year by the Christians as commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
While highlighting the importance of this Christian festival, the ambassador expressed solidarity with the Pakistani Christian community.
He said the Christian community in Pakistan has always played a constructive role in the development of the country.
The members of the Christian community present on the occasion thanked the ambassador and the embassy team for hosting them.
A cake was cut to mark the occasion.
