Qatari tourists to Turkey doubled in 2018

The number of Qatari visitors to Turkey nearly doubled to 96,327 in 2018, up from 48,764 in 2017, according to latest data released by the Turkish Consulate General Cultural and Tourism Office. The number of Qatari nationals visiting Turkey was 11,748 in the first two months of 2019. However, this is a fraction of the total number of visitors from Qatar, when expatriate residents are included. Turkey is one of the largest outbound tourism markets for people living in the Gulf countries. (TNN)
