The Qatar national rugby team won the women’s title for the West Asian Rugby Championship for the second time in a row beating Lebanon in the final 22-5 at the West Asian Rugby men’s and women’s championships at Aspire on Friday.
Qatar’s B team finished third defeating Jordan 27-5.
The head of the Organising Committee and Chairman of Qatar Rugby Union Yousuf Jahm al Kuwari crowned the winners in attendance of the General-Secretary of the Federation Assa al Khater, and Director of Public Relations & Director of Public Relations Hamad al Abdullah.
The national team dominated the final. They had begun the tournament beating Jordan 39-0.
In the semi-finals, Qatar beat Jordan 34-0, while team B lost to Lebanon 15-17.
