DOHA Qatar Airways (QA) has apologised for the delay of flight QR1409 from Doha to Lagos on Thursday, which was diverted to Khartoum due to a technical issue. In a press statement, QA said, “There was a Qatar Airways aircraft standing ready in Khartoum to fly QR 1324 to Doha. This aircraft was re-routed as QR 1409 and has continued on to Lagos where passengers will arrive at 19:50, a delay of only 3 hours 50 minutes.” “As a result of the re-routing, flight QR 1324 from Khartoum to Doha has been cancelled. All passengers are being assisted while the technical issue is resolved. Qatar Airways apologises for any inconvenience caused by the delay and the flight cancellation,” it said. (QNA)
