Ooredoo, the region’s leading enabler of digital business innovation, along with global connectivity provider Colt Technology Services, on Sunday announced the launch of Ooredoo’s Cloud Connect service for business customers to scale innovation with global cloud providers.
With Ooredoo Cloud Connect, Ooredoo’s business customers can now establish managed cloud connectivity from their local data centre to global cloud service providers.
Yousuf Abdulla al Kubaisi, chief operating officer, Ooredoo Qatar, said: “Our Ooredoo Cloud Connect provides secure cloud connectivity to enable real-time decision-making for digital transformation. Business customers can offload their cloud management to Ooredoo, so IT staff can focus on business innovation.”
Using Ooredoo Cloud Connect, business customers can also subscribe to backup and disaster recovery orchestration. In the hybrid cloud, Ooredoo’s Cloud Connect customers can also add emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data analytics, and Data Lakes.
Ooredoo Cloud Connect services now connect to Colt’s intelligent, high bandwidth, cloud-integrated network, called the Colt IQ Network. The Colt IQ Network connects to more than 850 data centres and 27,500 on net buildings worldwide.
Andrew Edison, vice-president of wholesale for Colt Technology Services, said: “This partnership with Ooredoo sees organisations being able to benefit from the global reach and density of the Colt IQ Network as well as the top cloud environments globally.” (TNN)
