MES Indian School hosted a glittering ceremony on its campus to bid farewell to its current batch of Class XII students on February 16. The outgoing students of the academic year 2018-19 along with school officials comprising teaching staff took part in the impressive function that marked the culmination of schooling for these students.
Although the overriding tone of the occasion was festive, there was an undercurrent of nostalgia and sadness, as the students fondly recounted their most cherished moments on the campus and expressed their overwhelming sense of gratitude towards the institution for imparting knowledge and discipline.
Student representatives Syed Mohammad Raza Haider and Clairin C Rolland spoke eloquently underlining the significant role played by the school, and the valuable contributions and lasting impact the teachers had made by way of promoting a positive environment in the school.
“As you are in the threshold of facing realities of the world, be dignified in your action, adorn noble qualities of trustworthiness and piety and exercise utmost respect to elders and parents,” urged K. Abdul Karim, President officiating, MES Governing Board.
“With determination and perseverance, you can accomplish your dream of life, utilizing the unlimited talents and potential coupled with the knowledge and skills imparted at the school. You can lead a life worthy of emulation,” said A.P Khaleel, Director, Cultural/Co-Curricular Activities, MES Governing Board.
Hameeda Kadar, the school’s principal, announced the names of the best outgoing students. She urged the students to face the world confidently and give preference to parents over gadgets and friends, as parents have brought them to this stage after sacrificing so much.
