The Government Communications Office (GCO) has called upon all citizens and residents in Qatar to avoid using abusive language for people, communities and their symbols in the social media outlets and elsewhere in keeping with the true principles of Islam and genuine Arab ethics.
In a press statement on Monday, the GCO said it is following with regret the mutual abuses that have overshadowed social media outlets recently.
The GCO said that the call to stop abuse on social media is derived from the directives of the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani in his first speech after the blockade. page 2
