The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani and Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan on Tuesday discussed bilateral relations and various regional and international issues of common concern. Investment, energy, food
security and military cooperation were some of the issues that figured prominently during the talks.
At the outset of official talks at the Amiri Diwan, the Amir welcomed the Pakistani Prime Minister expressing hope that the visit would contribute to enhancing cooperation between the two countries to serve the interests of their people.
The Pakistani PM expressed his happiness at his first visit to Qatar, thanking the Amir and the Qatari people for the warm reception and hospitality. He stressed his country’s keenness to develop cooperation with Qatar in various fields.
The talks were attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani, and a number of ministers.
From the Pakistani side, the members of the official delegation accompanying the PM were present at the talks.
Earlier upon arrival at the Amiri Diwan, the Pakistani PM was accorded an official
reception.
