Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces HE Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al Ghanim and the Amiri Guard Commander Major-General Hazza bin Khalil al Shahwani on Wednesday attended the Amiri Guard School Graduation ceremony of the founding course No 29 and the opening of the main pedestrian field at the Barzan camp.
The ceremony was also attended by Chairman of Colleges and Institutes Major-General Mohammed bin Hamad al Nuaimi.
Commander of Recruits Training Institute Major-General Rashid Nasser al Hajri, who is also the Deputy Commander of the Amiri Guard and the Inspector-General, also attended along with assistants of the Commander of the Amiri Guard, as well as a number of departments and groups leaders and officers of the armed forces.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Acting Commander of the Amiri Guard School Lieutenant-Colonel Mohammad Rashid Falih al Hajri said the founding course No 29 comes this year with participation of a large number of members of the armed forces, within the framework of joint cooperation between the security authorities.
The course is considered the core of building the character of the soldier, as it instils in him the rules of control and military connection, and enables him to perform his military duties to the fullest.
The graduation ceremony comes in conjunction with the opening of the main pedestrian field at Barzan camp. It comes within the framework of the development and modernisation witnessed by the Amiri Guard at the level of facilities, buildings and training fields.
The graduates made a number of performances using weapons and formations that won the praise of the audience.
Afterwards, the general report of the 19-week session was reviewed with 187
recruits participating.
At the end of ceremony, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces honoured the first graduates and wished them success.
