The ‘Arsal Relief’ campaign, launched by Qatar Charity (QC) to support storm-hit Syrian refugees in Lebanon, has received considerable support from a number of commercial, medical, media, sporting and educational organisations as well as social media influencers.
Several commercial organisations have decided to donate part of their sales revenues to the campaign.
The list of commercial organisations that generously contributed to the campaign so far includes restaurants, coffee shops and other commercial stores such as Al Aker Sweets, Coffee Traders, Ma’un Restaurant, Al Baranda Café, L’wzaar Restaurant, Le Gou and MIO Gusto.
The list also includes medical centres such as Bin Muftah Medical Centre and Al Hayat Medical Centre. Besides, Moon Light Abayat has decided to contribute to the campaign by donating a part of its sales revenue.
The list of supporters to the campaign also includes Qatar Basketball Federation and Dar Al Sharq Group. The group has decided to donate the sales revenue of its newspapers including The Peninsula, Al Sharq and Lusail for three days.
The campaign was accompanied by several cultural, awareness and interactive activities, which were held at Gulf Mall and Al Khor Mall by Al Rayan and Al Khor branches of QC’s Center for Community Development.
A large number of students from primary and preparatory schools as well as social media influencers participated in these activities aimed at raising awareness among the public about the suffering of the Syrian refugees affected by the snowstorm and their poor economic conditions in order to garner support for them.
QC thanked the supporters of the ‘Arsal Relief’ campaign. The charity has appealed to benefactors and the public to donate generously to help the refugees survive the cold.
Donations towards the campaign can be made through QC’s website (QCH.QA/B0) and application. Donors can also request for a ‘home collector’ service through QC’s app (QCH.QA/APP) or dial the charity’s hotline, 44667711, to make their contributions.
Mobile donations can also be made. To donate QR100, QR200 and QR500, one can send an SMS with code (SYH) to 92642, 92015, and 92428, respectively.
