Two students of Birla Public School (BPS) made history as they led all the Gulf schools in the ‘Proud to be an Indian’ quiz contest conducted by Asianet News channel.
Ananya K Manoj of grade 9 and Vaidehi Pujary of grade 11, with a trail blazing effort, earned their right to join a group of students from the Middle East scheduled to witness the 69th Indian Republic Day Celebration at New Delhi.
They will also get an opportunity to visit historical monuments and experience the awe-inspiring beauty of India through the programme ‘Proud to be an Indian’.
Asianet News seeks to instil a sense of patriotism among Indian students in the Middle East. The brilliant students were congratulated and honoured by N E Abdul Azeez, MD of Innovative trading and Contracting, B Balachandran, Press4media CEO and Asianet Qatar coordinator, Birla Public School Principal A P Sharma, Vice-Principal Shirly Rappai and other school officials at a special function in the school.
