New Delhi: An Indian man who was jailed in Pakistan after being convicted on espionage charges in 2015 returned home to India after six years on Tuesday, officials said. On Monday, Pakistan said Hamid Nehal Ansari, 33, who had been serving time in a prison in Peshawar city, would be released after he had completed his three-year sentence for spying. New Delhi however denied the charges, saying it was relieved that the “incarceration of an Indian civilian” was coming to an end. (dpa)
