The Primary Health Care Corporation is holding a week-long celebration of Qatar National Day with staff, patients and visitors.
PHCC has organised an array of cultural celebrations across the health centres, underlining its commitment to Qatari values and heritage, the activities are inspired by ideals illustrating the national identity, strong sense of citizenship, promotion of Qatar’s culture and its rich traditions, while embracing all the different communities in locally.
The activities include a celebratory event held at the headquarters and attended by Minister of Public Health Her Excellency Dr Hanan al Kuwari and PHCC Managing Director Dr Mariam
Abdul Malik.
Dr Abdul Malik said, “I would like to share my warm congratulations with the wise leadership of the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani, as well as the government of Qatar and all its citizens.
“We are proud to be celebrating our country today and recognising the important roles we play in contributing to Qatar’s vision. Improving the health and wellbeing of our population is a responsibility that belongs to all of us and we look forward to more prosperity following the direction of our inspirational leadership.”
Huda Bashwar, executive director of Communication at PHCC, said: “This is an opportunity for us to honour our country’s rich heritage, share its customs and really show our appreciation to the current and past leadership that have built Qatar to what is it today.
