The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) will open several important gateways of Al Wakra road projects on the occasion of Qatar National Day on Tuesday. The roads are 3.5 km of Al Wakra Road carriage, 126-metre new underpass, 3-km link road between Southern Doha Expressway and E-Ring and 90 percent Al Watiyyat Interchange on F-Ring Road. On this occasion, Engineer Bader Darwih has said that the opening of 3.5 km of main carriageway will deliver three lanes in each direction and a 126- meter underpass with two lanes in each direction, extending from Barwa Village east Airport Interchange on the G- Ring Road to the existing Pearl Roundabout. “The upgraded road will provide free-flow traffic movement between Mesaieed and Al Wakra City and Doha (via Airport Interchange), seamless travel along the main carriageway and easy access to local destinations via efficient traffic movements at the junctions,”Darwish said.
