Top class showjumping competition shall continue in Qatar following the just-concluded world-class Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) at Al Shaqab with the QNB Al Rayyan and Qatar International Showjumping Competition to be held at the Qatar Equestrian Federation's outdoor arena.
The first of the two World Cup qualifying events, the QNB Al Rayyan International Showjumping Competition will be conducted by the Qatar Equestrian and Modern Pentathlon Federation from today (November 15-17).
The riders will not only be competing for glory but, more importantly, to qualify for the International Equestrian Federation's FEI World Cup Jumping 2019.
Over 100 entries have been received for these competitions.
Equestrian enthusiasts can expect to enjoy exciting and thrilling competitions over the next two weekends.
"I would like to express my sincere appreciation to QNB who, once again, has come to the fore to support both these events together with ExxonMobil and Al Balagh. Their continued support is important to help raise the standard of equestrian sports in Qatar," said Badr al Darwish, Secretary- General, Qatar Equestrian and Modern Pentathlon Federation.
The mandatory checks for the horses took place on Wednesday
Besides the competition, families can enjoy free pony rides for children as well as experience al fresco dining provided by specially selected food outlets at the venue.
Entry for spectators for both the events is free.

Thursday, November 15: 1:30 7:30pm
Friday, November 16: 1.30 7:30pm
Saturday, November 17: 2 7:30pm
