Showcasing great ingenuity and innovation, Qatari printing and production company Digital Print Center won an award at the recent FESPA Global Print Expo held in Berlin, the company announced in a statement on Tuesday.
Taking home the gold award, Digital Print Center's submission in the poster category, entitled: 'Diversity: the visual you can feel', utilised over 23 different printing techniques and operations.
The poster brought tactile textures and fabrics to life while demonstrating Qatar's leading printing expertise and technology.
Believing that every visual should evoke the exact feeling and texture that it's presenting, Digital Print Center's intricate poster depicted a rich mix of materials including leather, feathers, fabric, polished surfaces, cloth, and wood.
The poster embodies the company's beliefs and values, that printing and production is a technically advanced communication tool which reflects reality and stirs emotion.
Rashid al Nuaimi, chairmain of Dallah Holding, Digital Print Center's parent company, said,"We are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication of the team, and delighted that we've brought international attention and recognition to Qatar. FESPA is where industry standards are set and inspiration abounds.
"We've showcased that our country has the know-how, self-sufficiency and advanced printing technology to excel at a global level."
Wassim Aldayah, CEO of Dallah Holding Media, who attended the award ceremony, said,"In previous years, I have represented our company as a visitor at FESPA Expos.
"This year, I am honoured and humbled for us to receive such acknowledgement and accept an award of this calibre. The poster brought together the unique talents of everyone in our company, creating a powerful image that gave us the edge over the competition."
FESPA Global Print Expo 2018 in Berlin is Europe's largest exhibition for screen and digital wide format print, textile printing and signage.
The four-day exposition is considered a leading showcase of latest technology for digital, screen and textile print, and a vital event in informing critical investment decisions. This year FESPA enjoyed record attendance, with over 20,442 visitors from 142 countries.
