THE Ministry of Education and Higher Education held a meeting on the training and development strategy of the ministry for the period 2017-2022.
The meeting aimed at raising awareness among the ministry members of its strategic programmes and projects under development, the importance of strategic planning and their roles in this regard.
The ministry's strategy aims at creating a global education system that offers equitable opportunities for access to quality education and training, providing the necessary competencies to contribute to development and promoting the values of Qatari society with the call for tolerance and respect for other cultures.
This will result in providing diverse learning opportunities that enable learners to improve their potential to effectively contribute to the development of an effective and highly qualified workforce for the education sector.
The strategy is based on the implementation of five programmes by exerting the energies, resources and efforts to achieve the desired quality in the coming years.
The programmes are raising the quality of early education in kindergartens and public schools, developing Qatar's national educational curricula, establishing a comprehensive quality management system for teachers and leaders of public and private schools, improving the institutional performance of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and raising the quality of services provided to stakeholders.
